A Scientist's Life
Cool things about a scientist's life.
Glow, Glow, Glow ✨
Anyone who works with spectrometry knows: it's a true visual spectacle. Brilliant plasmas and intense
flames. Colors that make anyone stop to admire.
I've explored this universe with various pieces of equipment: ICP-MS, ICP-OES, FAAS, GFAAS, MIP OES... and
the list keeps growing.
Sharing 📣...
Science only advances when it is shared.
An isolated piece of data is just a number, but when discussed, it becomes a discovery.
I have taught courses and classes, written articles, and reviewed papers. Every conversation, course, and class
is a learning experience. For the one who teaches and the one who learns.
Samples and more samples...
If I were to collect anything, I would collect samples.
In analytical chemistry, anything can be analyzed. From the icy water of Antarctica to sheep's
blood.
Each sample brings a new challenge and demands precision to ensure reliable results and maximum analytical
quality.
Green solvents...
...and yellow, sustainable, efficient...
During my PhD, I dove into the study of deep eutectic solvents, an ecological alternative to traditional
solvents.
They are biodegradable, non-toxic, and customizable, allowing for new approaches in analytical
chemistry.
Sample collection 🌱...
Part of the research work happens outside the lab, in search of samples in the real environment.
During my Master's, I analyzed marine biota samples collected in mangroves.
